The Steve Morgan Foundation provides grants to support children and families, people with disabilities, or those that are socially disadvantaged. The foundation originated the North Birkenhead Cradle to Career concept, and has committed generous financial support for the first four years of the programme.
Wirral Council
Wirral Council’s children’s services operate under the vision of ‘Making Wirral great for Children, Young People and their Families’. As part of Cradle to Career, Wirral Council has committed a 17-person community support team to work directly with the residents of North Birkenhead.

The Hive Youth Zone

North Birkenhead Development Trust is the charity that runs the St James Centre. For the last 16 years we have run adult education, kids’ clubs, a library, foodbank, and day trips, for all ages. Capacity Lab’s mission is to rethink public services. It has secured contracts to support more than fifty GP practices across Liverpool City Region, and to re-design Early Help Children’s Services for Wirral Council.
