St James Centre

The Cradle to Career community support team and the programme team are based in the St James Centre, a multi-purpose community centre on Laird Street, North Birkenhead.

The Centre is managed by the North Birkenhead Development Trust and runs services and activities for the whole community, including adult education, kids’ clubs, a foodbank, and day trips.

It is also home to a community cafe and a local library, as well as having spaces available for meetings and catch-ups.

For more information about the St James Centre, please visit the North Birkenhead Development Trust website or contact them on 0151 670 9974 or [email protected]

I have worked in North Birkenhead for three years and I really like the close-knit community feel. I enjoy my job as I get to know a lot of families, learn from them, and support them.

Bharathi,
School Readiness Worker at Wirral Council
